Dubai’s Palm Jebel Ali: Eight Fronds Ready by 2025 as Dh810 Million Marine Contract Kicks Off
The Palm Jebel Ali project in Dubai is making significant strides, with the first eight fronds expected to be completed by early 2025. This marks a key milestone in the development, as it paves the way for the construction of villas on the island's fronds.
A Dh810 million marine contract has been awarded for essential marine operations, which will involve dredging, land reclamation, beach profiling, and sand placement. These operations are critical for the project’s success, as they lay the foundation for future infrastructure and the construction of residential units across the island.
Nakheel, the developer behind the project, has confirmed that mobilization efforts for the marine works are already underway. The dredging company, Jan De Nul Dredging, is expected to complete these works within two years, aligning with the overall development timeline.
In addition to marine works, a new public access road is being built to connect Palm Jebel Ali directly to Sheikh Zayed Road, improving connectivity to the island for future residents and visitors.
Phase 1 of the development, which launched last year, saw the release of over 700 villas. These homes sold out almost immediately, reflecting strong demand and interest from property brokers and investors. The handover of these villas is anticipated by late 2026.
When completed, Palm Jebel Ali will span 13.4 kilometers and feature 16 fronds, alongside 91 kilometers of beachfront. The project is set to accommodate around 35,000 families and will be more than twice the size of Palm Jumeirah, making it a significant addition to Dubai's iconic skyline.
The ongoing work and development underscore the project's ambitious vision and its potential to transform Dubai's coastal landscape, providing luxury living in one of the world's most dynamic cities.
